Villa Rose is situated in a small quiet cul-de-sac 3 mins stroll to the village centre of Domaine de Pontroyal. It has two bedrooms on the lower floor (one double ensuite, one twin) with built-in wardrobes and two Provencal tiled luxury bathrooms. There is a partly shaded terrace with built-in BBQ leading down to to the gardens and swimming pool. The main living area comprises an entrance hall leading to the fully fitted kitchen and large beamed living area with French windows which open to a balcony overlooking the gardens, pool and Luberon mountains. The balcony and terrace both have space for 6 people to eat outside.

THE MODERN KITCHEN HAS AN ELECTRIC OVEN AND SEPARATE HOB, FRIDGE/FREEZER, WASHER/DRIER, DISHWASHER AND MICROWAVE WITH PLENTY OF SPACE FOR THE EXTENSIVE KITCHEN EQUIPMENT. A HIGH BEAMED LIVING AREA HAS A DINING TABLE FOR SIX PEOPLE AND THE ADJOINING LOUNGE AREA HAS A SOFA/BED AND SEVERAL ARMCHAIRS. THERE IS A TV AND VIDEO PLAYER BY A LARGE PROVENCAL FIREPLACE. THE TELEPHONE CAN BE USED FOR LOCAL LANDLINE OUTGOING CALLS AND ALL INCOMING CALLS. BED LINEN AND BATHROOM TOWELS ARE PROVIDED AND ARE CHANGED WEEKLY. THE VILLA WILL BE CLEANED BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL AND AFTER DEPARTURE.

PONTROYAL FACILITIES WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE

The pedestrian village is only 3 mins stroll from Villa Rose and has shops, bars and restaurants overlooking the boating lake, golf course and hills of Provence. There is a small supermarket catering for everyday needs, a paper shop (tabac), wine shop, hairdresser and a number of other establishments. There is a cash machine in La Maison de Pontroyal in the village centre. The golf club is less than 5 mins walk.

La Farigoule is the nearest bar/cafe/restaurant where takeaways (including pizzas) are also available. Les Tilleuls next door is a slightly smarter restaurant while the golf club has excellent bar and restaurant facilities (open to everyone) where you can eat inside or on the terrace with views across the golf course. Le Moulin de Vernegues has a good,ornate french restaurant, ideal for special occasions and is within walking distance on the estate.

NEARBY SHOPS, FARMS & VINEYARDS

Many visitors do not require private transport as within the estate most facilities are within walking distance, however for visitors with their own transport the nearest supermarket is Intermarche in Mallemort (5 mins drive, but closed on Sundays and most lunchtimes). Casino supermarket in Lambesc (10 mins) or the market in Pelisanne (15mins) are good local alternatives on Sunday morning.

Most local farms & vineyards sell their own produce very reasonably. Chateau Bas in Cazan (5 mins drive) has very acceptable red or white wine at around €4.50 euro a bottle or even cheaper en vrac (draught) while the Cave (wine shop) near Intermarche has a greater variety of good french wines.

PONTROYAL WEATHER

There are more than 300 days of sunshine in this part of Provence and is normally warm and sunny from April to November with the warmest months being July and August. There can be infrequent thunderstorms in the summer months. The Mistral, a cool northerly wind, can blow outside the summer months but the overall impression we have is of endless, clear blue skies and sunshine for most of the year.
